# What is an Introducing Broker?

Understand the Tradeview Markets Introducing Broker programme, referral model, and the tools available after approval.

An Introducing Broker (IB) is an independent person or business that introduces prospective clients to Tradeview Markets. In the Tradeview Partners programme, an IB shares an approved referral link or code and may receive rebates when referred clients trade, subject to the applicable programme terms.

An IB is not the client. Each referred person completes their own application, satisfies any eligibility checks, and makes their own trading decisions.

## How the IB model works

1. Apply to join the IB programme and wait for Tradeview to review the application.
2. After approval, obtain the referral link or code made available for your IB relationship.
3. Share that link or code through channels that comply with the programme requirements.
4. A prospective client uses the link or code and completes their own Tradeview account application.
5. When an approved referred client trades, the programme records the eligible trading activity.
6. Any rebate is calculated under the payment model, asset class, and terms that apply to your IB relationship.

{% hint style="info" %}
Referral activity, client acceptance, products, payment models, and rebate eligibility can vary by region, account, asset class, and programme terms. Becoming an IB does not guarantee approval, referred-client activity, or earnings.
{% endhint %}

## What can an approved IB use?

The Tradeview Partners programme describes an IB Portal that can provide tools such as:

* A dashboard for referral and performance information.
* Your available referral links or codes.
* Rebate and client-activity history.
* Marketing assets made available for your programme.
* Access to local or multilingual programme support where available.

The exact tools displayed in the portal depend on your approved programme setup.

## What an IB should keep in mind

* Do not present the programme, a product, or a trade as a guaranteed outcome.
* Let each prospective client open and manage their own account; do not collect their Cabinet credentials or act as though you are Tradeview.
* Use only the referral links, promotional materials, and claims that Tradeview makes available or approves for your programme.
* Check the current programme terms and any regional restrictions before promoting a link.
