# EDGE Terms: Commission & Leverage

EDGE account terms: flat commission, spreads, leverage, trade sizes, micro-lot group, base currencies, servers and rules for IBs and money managers.

These are the EDGE account terms as published on 23 September 2026. Terms can change. The account card in the Cabinet and the symbol **Specification** in your terminal are the current reference for your account.

### Instruments

The `.edge` list on the MetaTrader 5 demo server holds the Forex majors, crosses and exotic pairs, and the metals: gold against USD, EUR and JPY, silver, platinum and palladium. Indices, oil and crypto CFDs are not on that list.

The spread on a `.edge` symbol is the raw market spread from Tradeview's liquidity providers, with no mark-up. It changes with market conditions and is tightest in liquid hours. The EDGE page on the website shows live spreads.

### Example: the cost of one trade

You buy 1 lot of `EURUSD.edge` and close it later. At the moment you open, the spread is 0.2 pip, which is USD 2 on one lot. The commission is USD 4 for the round turn. The total cost of the trade is USD 6, before swap. The spread in this example is illustrative; the actual spread is the live market spread at the time of each order.

## Leverage and margin

* Maximum leverage is **1:100** on every instrument, including gold.
* The margin for a position is the contract size multiplied by the price, divided by the leverage. The order window in MetaTrader shows the required margin before you send the order. See [MetaTrader 4: Trading](/accounts-and-platforms/trading-platforms/metatrader-4/trading.md) and [MetaTrader 5: Trading](/accounts-and-platforms/trading-platforms/metatrader-5/trading.md).
* EDGE leverage is lower than ILC (1:200) and XLev (1:400). If you move to EDGE from one of those models, the same position needs more margin. See [Migrate an existing account](/edge/migrate-an-existing-account.md).

## Trade sizes

* The minimum trade size is **0.10 lot**. The volume step and the maximum volume are shown in the symbol **Specification**.
* Micro lots (0.01 lot) are available in a separate EDGE micro group. Access is by permission: an introducing broker requests it for their clients, and a client asks their broker or account manager. Availability is limited.

## Base currency

The base currency is USD, EUR or GBP. It is chosen when the account is created and cannot be changed afterwards; for another currency, open an additional account.

## Platforms and servers

* EDGE is offered on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 only at this time.
* On MetaTrader 5, demo accounts run on the server **Tradeview-Demo**. Live EDGE accounts run on a dedicated Tradeview server; use the server name shown on your account card in the Cabinet.

## Accounts

* You can hold an EDGE account alongside ILC and XLev accounts.
* A second EDGE account is available after the first EDGE account is funded.
* An account that sits under an introducing broker cannot be changed to EDGE. The client opens an additional EDGE account in the Cabinet. See [EDGE for introducing brokers](/edge/for-introducing-brokers.md).
* An existing ILC or XLev account can be changed to EDGE only when it has no open positions and no pending orders. See [Migrate an existing account](/edge/migrate-an-existing-account.md).

## Introducing brokers and money managers

* During the launch phase, EDGE accounts pay no IB rebates. See [EDGE for introducing brokers](/edge/for-introducing-brokers.md).
* Money managers can run a MAM on EDGE with no minimum size. Performance fees apply; rebates do not, during the launch phase. See [EDGE for money managers](/edge/for-money-managers.md).

## Swaps, trading hours and holidays

Swap rates, trading sessions and the contract size of each `.edge` symbol are shown in the symbol **Specification** in your terminal. Holiday hours are announced in the Cabinet and by email.
